When most people think about their relationship with God, they tend to picture something distant—prayers sent upward, guidance coming from afar. But Scripture paints a very different picture. Through the Holy Spirit, God is not just above us—He is with us, in us, and actively at work in our everyday lives. Jesus told His disciples that it was actually better for Him to go away, because the Helper—the Holy Spirit—would come (John 16:7). That means the Spirit isn’t an abstract
